Client: A world leading global soft drinks manufacturer

Covert tracking of high value and uniquely designed transportation pallets to identify and eliminate impact damage occurring in the UK supply chain.

Company X is the largest manufacturer, distributor and marketer of non alcoholic beverage concentrates and syrups in the world. Products bearing the companies name are sold in more than 200 countries and the brand is recognised as one of the most valuable in the world.

Damage in transit of the containers specially designed to carry the company's product has become a serious issue for the company. There are 5,000 containers in the UK, each designed to have a 6 month lifespan. However damage during transport is reducing the life of containers to as little as 6 days, and causing loss of valuable product, loss of expensive containers.

Traceall introduced its powerful asset tracking solution to allow the company to covertly track real-time location and impact with high accuracy for any container being supplied in the UK. Events with impact of more than 1.5G are date + time + location stamped, including direction of force. Exceptional events with impact of more than 2.4G are warned of in real time, with alerts immediately delivered to the Supply Chain Security Manager by SMS and email. The system has allowed the company to identify where and when damage occurred, who was responsible and how to implement new preventative processes whilst making significant cost and operational savings.

Client: A leading global fresh and frozen food manufacturer

Covert tracking of frozen burgers in the UK supply chain to identify and eliminate product damage due to temperature.

Company X is one of the largest, privately-held food companies in the world. With global sales of more that $4bn, the group has over seventy-seven processing facilities and 20,000 employees dedicated to providing food solutions for some of the world's leading food companies. The group supplies all McDonald’s global food requirements.

McDonald's franchisees were rejecting a significant amount of the company's burgers due to temperature quality control issues. When the burgers were unpacked they failed to pass quality control on appearance due to exposure to temperatures during transportation that were unacceptably high.

Traceall introduced its powerful product tracking solution to allow the company to covertly track the temperature and location of any frozen burger being supplied to a UK McDonald's outlet, in real time and with accuracy of 1C. The system allows the company to identify where and when burger temperature rose outside of preset parameters, determine who was responsible, take immediate preventative action. As well as implementing preventative processes within the McDonalds supply chain, with significant savings in product waste and operational resources.

Client: A Leading UK fresh and frozen food producer

Covert temperature tracking of chicken products to eliminate waste and verify quality control in the international Tesco supply chain.

The company is a leading food service company to all sectors of the UK market providing menu solutions, including innovative poultry and vegetarian products that ensure total technical integrity and traceability throughout the global supply chain from gate to plate. Part of a worldwide food group the company has production sites in England, Northern Ireland and France, and provides own label and branded products to leading foodservice and retail customers across Europe.

A primary objective for the company is to lead the market in product integrity for their brands. In particular to drive their brand credibility with their largest customer, Tesco, by demonstrating that they are well ahead of the competition in this area. Issues have arisen around temperature for their chicken products during transport within and around their internal and external supply chain, leading to the loss of significant product annually. Additionally they wanted to investigate temperature related transport issues that arise during the transit of live stock from an animal welfare point of view.

Traceall introduced its food traceability solution FoodTrace alongside its powerful product tracking solution to allow the company to manage, track and report their key product supply chain data flow as well as real time location and temperature tracking. Complying with current EU Food Traceability Regulations (178/2002), the solution minimises supply chain waste.

Covert, real-time high accuracy tracking of high value consumer games consoles to identify and eliminate international theft.

The company is the world’s largest software company. Theft in transit of the company’s consumer games console has become a serious issue. Theft is occurring due to container hijacking, causing significant loss of valuable product, supply chain disruption, threat to driver safety, and end retailer and consumer dissatisfaction.

Traceall introduced the powerful product tracking solution allowing the company to covertly track in real-time with street by street accuracy the location of games consoles being supplied to UK and Eire customers. Covert temperature tracking of air freight shellfish from Tasmania to UK/China markets to eliminate waste and verify quality control.

A leading Australian Seafood producer exporting high value live lobsters to both the Chinese and UK markets has increasingly been having issues with temperature quality control during transport.
